Editorial policy
Useful information, with its limits visible.
Our guides organise public information. They do not diagnose, prescribe, guarantee outcomes or replace a consultation with a qualified practitioner.
How articles are created
AI tools may help CLARA develop an outline or first draft. Every published guide must identify its topic, intended reader and primary sources. Factual claims about professional registration, facilities or healthcare requirements are checked against the official public sources listed in the article. We do not invent practitioner facts, patient stories, statistics or quotes.
Sources and dates
We prefer Malaysian public authorities, professional regulators and original guidance documents. Each guide lists its sources and the date they were checked. A link is not a lasting assurance: registers and guidance can change, so readers should open the current official source before making a decision.
Medical boundaries
CLARA content is general information, not personalised medical advice. It cannot determine whether a treatment is suitable for an individual. We avoid promised outcomes, treatment prescriptions and unsupported superlative clinic rankings. Urgent or personal health concerns should be taken to an appropriate healthcare professional.
Clinic mentions and ordering
Editorial coverage and directory ordering follow CLARA’s published standards. A Clara Verified badge records that a profile met our factual checks at a stated date; it is not an endorsement, safety guarantee or prediction of outcome.
Sponsored placement policy
No sponsored placements are currently shown. If CLARA introduces them, the following rules apply and will be reviewed by legal and editorial advisers before the first placement appears.
- A sponsored placement appears only in a separate block labelled “Sponsored”. It never changes the neutral A–Z directory order, the most-viewed or recently-added sorts, or any search result within the directory.
- Only a clinic that already meets CLARA’s listing standards can hold a placement, and the placement may show only the same factual profile information available on its free listing.
- Sponsorship never affects CLARA Verified status, editorial coverage in health guides, or how a clinic’s factual corrections are handled.
- A placement may not include outcome claims, testimonials, before-and-after imagery, guarantees, superlatives or discount promotions, and must comply with Malaysian healthcare advertising rules.
- Free factual listings stay public and unchanged whether or not a clinic sponsors, subscribes, or declines to.
- Clinics connected to the operator, including any clinic in which the operator holds an interest, are eligible for placement only on identical published terms and are labelled in the same way.
Corrections
When a material error is confirmed, we correct the article and update its date. A clinic or practitioner may request review of a factual detail by sending a direct official source to hello@clara.my. Missing data is labelled as unconfirmed rather than interpreted as misconduct.
